Rio Gallegos Sea-Run Brown Trout
Travel almost to the end of the continent: Santa Cruz Province, Argentina, where sea-run browns come into the renowned Rio Gallegos to spawn.
Bring a single-hand rod, and if you want to really cover some water, bring a two-handed rod. Be prepared for windy days and really big, strong fish. On alternate days, fish for large resident brown trout in the Rio Penitente.
Enjoy the culture of Patagonia with gauchos, sheep, delicious beef, and fine
Malbec wine. Each week ends with an asado: a small lamb cooked whole in front of an open fire.
For four anglers, single occupancy is $5,500 per angler. The season runs from December to April, with March and April being prime time.
Add a few days in Buenos Aires and enjoy one of the most sophisticated cities in South America.
